News on the Frostbite series!

Tess & Kipp had their own plans! I wanted to finish the series in three books, Tess & Kipp fought for four books and…they won!

So, what does this mean?

Big question, right? Well, let me tell you what happened. I was totally convinced I could finish the series in three books. Back in the summer, I started writing the final book and had no doubt I would have it finished by September. The plan was to release it at the end of October. Yes, remember that Fall of 2012 release date? Needless to say, I’m sure you’re all wondering what happened and why the final book has been delayed.

The book didn’t want to end, that’s what happened! As fans of the Frostbite series know, Supernaturally Kissed and Demonically Tempted are short novels. Meaning, they sit around 150 pages. By the time I had finished my first round of edits on Mystically Bound, the story sat at 300 pages and was 100,000 words. Not at all what I had originally planned.

Truth is, Tess & Kipp weren’t ready to say goodbye and maybe…neither was I. It just took longer to get to that happily-ever-after we all know they deserve. So, what are books three and four going to look like?

To put it simply, they will read a little like two parts to one big story. The finale to their story honestly needed that to achieve it, without having two separate story lines. Of course, I won’t leave you hanging too much and some answers will be discovered in book one, but not everything could be solved then. Tess and Kipp just needed a little more time.

The good part to all this is both books are finished, both are currently being edited, and when they release it will be close together.  Yes, I felt all those glares coming my way when I said you would have to wait a little bit for the end. Not to worry—my editor and I just thought this was the best for Tess & Kipp. We didn’t want to rush or cut any of their story!

Now, for the juicy stuff, which means a title reveal. The final book in the Frostbite series will be called…

Eternally Devoted
